Mirror of the Universe

Description

Some call it a god.

When encountered they see the universe reflected on its scales, distant planets, raging nebulae, hot burning stars. With every turn of its body it seems to change as it flies through the stars.

Many civilizations have obsessed over it, praised its name, and died for it in wars. Many more advanced people look upon it with greed and try to catch it hoping to study it for its secrets or sell it for cash to the highest bidder.

But they always fail. For no one can study it that wishes to harness or tame it. It appears only to ships or planets which cannot harm it. Many trappers and scientists have started to call it a hoax, used to up sales for luxury lines and merchant ships, as they, with their advanced eqiupment have never seen it, only these ordinary ships.

However, those that have seen it known it to be real.

It has even spoken to one. A young girl, alone in her parent's cabin, had looked into its eyes as it flew next to her ship. Only 4 she did not understand what it was or its importance but as she grew she became its best advocate. Many claimed she lied to gain fame, but she only shakes her head at these doubters, turning to look out a window at the sky.

"It calls itself the Mirror of the Universe. It is something you will never understand. It is not meant to be pursued, but experienced. The Mirror of the Universe is not yours to speak for, I speak of it only because it has no humanly voice. And you will never see the universe if you keep your blinders on."
